Welcome to Pleasant Valley.  This very popular area of the city is very close to the North End of Nanaimo and most are within walking distance to Woodgrove Center, the largest shopping center in the Mid Island area.  Pleasant Valley has long been a terrific family area with many areas of older and newer homes and subdivisions.  When compared to other areas of the city homes in this area are affordable and are very walkable to local Restaurants including, Browns Social House, Kasira Thai, Longwood Station and all grocery and retail shopping.  In this area of the city you will also find the Superstore, Home Depot, and the main Rd. running through this area is on the bus route.  The elementary is.. you guessed in Pleasant Valley Elementary with the feeder High School being Dover Bay.   A very popular area of homes in the area is Brannen Lake Estates, situated around Brannen Lake you will find another power boat friendly lake in the city with Boat Launch and a small sandy beach for the kids.  Both affordable and walkable this is another very popular area in Nanaimo.
